DogMap is a great companion app for all dog owners. It is also a community with a mission.
We are building community to support qualified assistance dog teams. Together, we educate, improve access rights, and support teams through the Assistance Dog Foundation.
Currently, funding and quality assurance are lacking or scarce, so that a liberating partnership with an assistance dog often remains a dream.
Assistance dogs
… are carefully selected and educated to assist their human partner through meaningful tasks. The concept is one of lifelong partnership. Qualified assistance dogs can greatly improve the autonomy, quality of life, and safety of people living with disabilities.

About the Assistance Dog Foundation
Assistance Dog Foundation is located in The Hague, Netherlands. As an independent nonprofit, it strives to provide global support structures for qualified assistance dog teams.
Independent means that its statutes and its boards prevent interest groups from influencing its mission. This enables the Assistance Dog Foundation to keep the needs of all stakeholders in mind: aside from assistance dog handlers, this includes the needs of the assistance dogs themselves, as well as service providers, funders, and the public.
Growing country by country, with a global vision, the Assistance Dog Foundation focuses on providing
- an ISO-aligned assistance dog team certification,
- a global register,
- support measures for certified teams,
- an independent knowledge base.
Who we are
DogMap.info is a free service of independent nonprofit Pfotenpiloten. Founded in 2015, Pfotenpiloten builds lasting foundations for universal acceptance and support of qualified assistance dog teams.
From 2018 to 2021, we executed a nationwide public access campaign for the German government, reaching 40 million citizens. DogMap.info resulted from this initiative. It has been growing rapidly ever since.
